LENTOS Kunstmuseum Linz | Ernst-Koref-Promenade 1, 4020 Linz
The LENTOS Kunstmuseum Linz, which opened in 2003, is considered one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Austria. Starting from the collection holdings, which focus on masterpieces of European painting from the first half of the 20th century and a rich collection of graphic art and high quality photography, LENTOS draws an arch from the classical historical art of the early 20th century to the most current art positions of today. Over the years the Collection has been continually expanded. The focus today is on contemporary Austrian art.

bb15 | Hafnerstraße 4, 4020 Linz
bb15 is an alternative location of the arts; non-commercial with experimental approaches and free space. On roughly 100m2 exhibition area in the city centre of Linz exhibitions, performances, workshops, discussions and concerts are taking place and change regularly. In addition to the exhibition series, single- and group exhibitions are taking place. Furthermore the area is used as studio and place of production. International co-operations with similar institutions as well as an annual artist in residence- program complete the repertoire.
Sculpture Garden Artpark | Hamerlingstrasse 42, 4020 Linz
The Skulpturenpark Artpark in the city of Linz, Austria, has hosted over 20 works since it’s opening in 2006, including sculpture by Jonathan Borofsky, dEmo (Eladio de Mora), Manfred Kielnhofer, Robert Mittringer, Arnold Pichler, Erwin Reiter, Martina Schettina, Manfred Schöller, Pinuccio Sciola and Gerhard Wünsche. New works are added to the display annually. Situated in the ‘Lenaupark’ quarter on the roof of the Lenaupark City shopping-center, this unusual sculpture park is the only cultural institution of this part of the city. Local artist Manfred Kielnhofer founded the Artpark. The Artpark is open to the public from April to October annually, free of charge.
Oase by XARCHITEKTEN | Wahringerstraße 30, 4030 Linz
The Oase in Linz is located on the site of the steel company voestalpine and is used for liturgical as well as secular purposes. It stands on a “no-man’s-land” between main roads and industrial estates and was therefore in need of a strong new character. For the architects, the existing woodlands served as a conceptual starting point as an “oasis for the people” and the new built landscape retains this character by being embedded within a hillside. As a non-conventional church building, the Oase stands out in its location not only through its unique aesthetics but also by speaking to its surroundings.
OK Offenes Kulturhaus | OK Platz 1, 4020 Linz
The OK in the Upper Austrian Culture Quarter is an exhibition house and a lab for contemporary art, which provides space for the presentation of current artistic trends and for a networked development. The focus is on the production of spatial installations and the realisation of media art, coupled with an intensive engagement with socio-political themes and a dynamic way of conveying art. The OK was founded in the late 1980s in the building of the former Ursuline School. In the classrooms and in the clear combination of spaces the focus is on concentration and condensation. It is an intensive format and an open space for art that the successful institution is able to and must afford, in order to continue to do justice to its experimental aspirations and its emphasis on conveying art and socially relevant themes.
